w1 does the same thing, usually accompanied by throwing himself onto the floor in anguish. I'm sure when the teenage years hit and all we get is a "yeah, whatever" in response to a goodbye, we will look back on this and sigh.
I am so glad that you posted this. Today I was putting on Savannah's shoes and I quietly said "I love you Savy." When she didn't respond I said "do you love me, too?" "No." she replied simply. I should have stopped while I was ahead, but instead I continued and asked "Why, sweetheart?" And she said "Because, I just love Daddy, OK?" Ouch.
Lately w1 has been upset when either one us leaves the room. I'm not sure if that is from the new addition trama of not seeing mom for a couple of days.
I have to admit that when I manage to get home before w1 goes to bed, it is quite nice when he comes to greet me.

how sweet. I bet he cries when you leave too.
Jack's pure joy when Ryan returns from work sometimes makes me feel like chopped liver.
It's a good thing. You should leave them together more often. Your next may not let you leave.
Despite the sad look on his face, those pictures were too funny. Sorry Adam!

It's inevitable I'm afraid. Just know that he secretly likes you best. He will never vocalize this but we mothers know the truth!!
