Summer Vacay to Utah: Part 5

We also decided to hike the "Y" while we were in Utah.  For those of you not familiar with Utah, on the mountain behind BYU campus there is a giant "Y" painted in white.  BYU is nicknamed "The Y".  Here is a terrible side-shot of the Y.

Some things about hiking to the Y; there is no shade.  So if you're hiking in July like we were you will be hot and may possibly die on the trail.

Also, the trail is steep.  It's a mountain.  There are switchbacks, but it is still an intense climb, especially when carrying a 25lb infant or a toddler on your shoulders.

Hey!  We found some shade.  Kind of.

We finally made it to the top and the kids had fun cavorting on the Y with their cousins.

We headed down, which was much more pleasant than the ascent.

Scott in his role of Super Dad.  I really did feel faint on the way down, so Scott carried both girls.  Adam climbed the whole way up and down himself.  He's a hiking champ!
